They wanted to increase the speed of service and quality of food presentation while still maintaining the feel of a working farm using rustic materials.
Once the detailed design was complete our attention turned to the finishes, the tops are made from hot rolled mild steel coated with a food safe coating to resist rusting and increase food safety. The front cladding is made from recycled corrugated iron sheets that the client had on the farm. These were clear plastic coated, and the edging was made from reclaimed wood that was treated and sealed. Overall this delivered the rustic and homely ambiance that the client was seeking.
